I saw Ryan Lochte this morning on "Good Morning America" (I believe that's the name of the show). He was sort of contrite but he claimed that no damage was done, which is obviously a lie according to the video. He blamed it all on being intoxicated. He didn't answer the question about if he would return to Brazil to face charges of lying to the police in their investigation. He said his legal team was working with the Brazilian police. He said that he never reported the incident to the police, but after he shot his mouth off on international TV, the Brazilian police came and interviewed him and the others involved, so a police report WAS filed about the incident. He was a jerk before Rio and is even a bigger jerk now.
@Retired_Engineer: He is a Bro. You look at football players and all the terrible things they do but still maintain multi million dollar salaries, then you look at this swim bro(who is dumber then a post, seriously his interviews are painful to watch) get strung up because he ran his mouth with a bro story on TV because he is to slow to realize that it is a bad idea. Simple fact is, he is a stupid guy, who is great at a sport and for some reason people(well the reason is because the TV told them to but whatever) have idealized him as somebody perfect because of it. Is he stupid for having done what he did? Yes. Is it a big deal? Honestly...........no not really. He is still good at the sport people are paying him to be good at, and he is still as dumb as a post, status quo has not changed, 6 months from now he will quietly get new sponsors(if not the same ones he already had), do some PR stunts to make it seem like he learned his lesson and be on track for the next major swim competition like none of this ever happened.
Well.........I feel better >.> 4951
