So, after twenty years (nearly) they have concluded (maybe) that bug spray is bad for bugs?What ever happened to common sense?Nearly two decades of data reinforce concerns that pesticides are really bad for beesNew research has provided some of the strongest evidence yet that pesticides can do serious, long-term damage to bee populations. And the findings may help fuel the ongoing debate about whether certain insecticides should be permitted for agricultural use at all.LINK 4951

People in Zika areas in Florida are complaint about the spraying of mosquitos there because of too much chemicals in the spray. So do you take a chance with Zika mosquitos or the chemical spraying? 4951

@sweetie: From somebody who spent his childhood summers running behind the fogger truck - spray away!

@BooBear: No different than what people are spraying in their houses...besides it was washed down by ice cream from the Good Humor truck following closely behind.  An effective antidote.

@ET: Reduction of the bee population is problematic in the sense it effects our food supply.
Not to mention raises the cost of honey and products that use honey.But the food supply could be a larger problem. 4951

@FoFa: Reduction in  the human population would make that a non-event.

@ET, yep we would hear the mosquito truck coming and hop on our bikes and follow him around. WTH were our parents thinking letting us do this?I think there has to be another reason for the bees too.  I know back home they sprayed every night for mosquitos all summer long, and the bees were way more plentiful than they are now, as were the fireflies.

@Fallon: Stopped using DDT.

Put research into tiny bee drones. We could eliminate bees in a decade or two. 4951
