>> She is my only and we are pretty close. Â Its killing me, but when I see how happy and determined she is, how the heck can I not be happy for her. Â Ive only cried in front of her one time, in Walmart of all places and I was mortified. Â I don't want to project my feelings onto her. Â But dang, Lubbock is a long way awayAnd my DH and I are working out the detail of this new chapter of our lives and that's a good thing.
@SwimSwim: I think it's okay if she knows you are sad, just as long as she knows you'll be okay and you support her. I shed a lot of tears, you will too, but you will also get used to it. Make plans to go for short visits. My boys were within a few hours and it was pretty easy to pop in and take them out for lunch, buy some groceries and just put my eyes on them so I knew they were okay. It's been fun for hubby and I to reconnect just the two of us. We've enjoyed it, we still like each other and have plenty in common. I hate those stories where the marriages split when the kids leave.Â
@MarT: Well, she is going to be in Lubbock, so a pop in visit would be hard
But we do have some plans to go up for parents weekend in October.
My husband is my favorite person to hang out with so I know we will have fun  I didn't get this far with him to quit now! 4951
