We need to do some minor updating.  We've decided to keep the countertops for now and just replace the worn faucets and drains.  What is there I see in many of the homes for sale in Kingwood, Delta single handle with the acrylic knob.  Anyone switched these out? Was the countertop under the faucet damaged?  I'm worried about the different footprint of the new faucet if the counter is discolored.  These faucets are unsalvageable.  Hoping to replace the cartridge in the shower and the tub spouts and drains and keep the rest.  4951

The the joy of updating.  One thing leads to another, that leads to another.  Faucet leads to counter-top to new sink, which leads to re-refinishing the cabinets as they look shabby.  Crap, might as well replace them too...and the floor....and the lighting. 4951

Lol @ BoobearWe don't know anything, probably won't know for awhile.  That's why I'm not doing the countertop, if we were staying for sure, I would.  4951

I need to go remove one of the faucets and see how bad it looks, the exact faucet is no longer made.  Unfortunately, to check the shower cartridge I have to shut off the water to the house.  4951

@ET: We started out with a few needed immediate repairs with CAM Contracting.  They do good work, so we've added two additional jobs.  I told my wife to stop with those when they are finished, then we'll make a list of the larger jobs (floor replacement, painting, shower rebuild, etc.) and smaller jobs so we can get bids on them.

Up upgraded our sink and faucet in our previous house. We did a cream-colored double sink with this brushed bronze (very dark brown) faucet. It turned out gorgeous!

@donnatella:

Love the higher spigot. Our new house has the high faucet with solid or spray, but i have very deep sinks. One is extra deep. Love them. 4951
