 We were all worried.I hope
@Safety44, gets back with us and lets us know he is all so on the road to recovery.
@Fallon: Â I was extremely fortunate that things just seemed to go so well! Â They kept me in the hospital longer because I was having regular episodes of atrial fibrillations, which I've had periodic episodes for several years. Â They put me on Warfarin/Coumadin blood thinner as a preventative measure and didn't want to send me home until it stabilized. Â They had me use a walker when walking the halls just to make sure I wouldn't fall. After 4 days, my blood thinner tests were regular, and I was ready to go home. Â Part of the problem is that I had two Cardiologists making decisions. Â One was my regular Cardiologist and he performed the catherization that located the blockage. Â Dr. Ott then performed the bypass surgery. Â Dr. Ott said I was ready to go home by Friday, but my Cardiologist wanted to keep me in a little longer for monitoring. Â My surgery was on a Tuesday and I was ready to go home by Friday, but he convinced me to stay another day. Â Of course, he had another doctor cover for him over the weekend and he wasn't going to release me. Â When my regular Cardiologist came in Monday morning, I told him that I was going home that day. Â He was hesitant but I convinced him that I was ready. I used a walker at home for about three days as a precaution. Â I then saw him for a followup the next week and then saw one of Dr. Ott's nurses to remove the couple of stitches that didn't dissolve on their own.Overall, I feel very fortunate!
