If it is a puncture wound I would absolutely get a tetanus booster, for a cut I would consider the surroundings where I got the cut, dirty soil...yes, in my home...no.
If I'm not mistaken, you only need the booster every 5 years.
And alcohol and hydrogen peroxide do nothing to kill bacteria in a wound. Because it burns or bubbles doesn't mean it's sanitizing the wound. Hydrogen peroxide bubbles is working on dead tissue, which in a fresh wound there would be none.
To clean a wound just run it under cool running water and cover with a sterile bandage. If sterile is not available, make the layer closest to the wound as clean as you possibly can, then wrap with what you have to hold. Get a sterile dressing on as soon as possible! 4951
