Seems they are concerned about food prep times, proper handling and potential for food-born illnesses.

Gawd forbid they sell anything fresh!!!! 4951

I heard they (and other fast food joints) wash their ground beef in ammonia to get rid of stuff like e coli. That sounds like the opposite of fresh beef to me! 4951

Actually they do pretty good for the amount of food they sell and cook. I don't frequent McDonalds. 4951

@Maisey1: I had a burger at JITB a while back, tasted a lot like AJax.  Never again.

@CBP210: It's a new concept they are trying out on a few locations. Even they have their doubts as to whether they can pull it off, hence their concerns.

@ET: My daughter brought home chicken nuggets from there once. I must have been extremely hungry because I ate one. It tasted like a ball of grease. I'm not even sure there was meat in it.

I ate there last week- first time in 10 years. And I would've kept going on that record but was either eat there or wait another 2 hours to eat something decent- and seeing that breakfast had been 8 hours before I chose McD's. I used to love their fish sandwich. The whole meal tasted like and felt like nothing- literally no taste.
I should've waited the 2 hours 4951

@Jpgurl: I would have waited 2, and raised you 2 more. LOLI have never understood the universal appeal of that place....fast and cheap, that's all I can think of, and one on every corner.

@Jpgurl:

I would rather be hungry. I couldn't tell you what any of those places looked like inside, let alone what's in their menu.
I cringe when my dh says he ate lunch at ? ?.
Why? For what you pay you can actually get fresher food anywhere else.
All that stuff is greasy soylent green. Yuk.
I also do not fry a lot of food. I bake, broil and grill. When i do have fried food I'm a real snob. If it's greasy greasy or soggy, i just can not eat it. 4951

@beadweaver and @TheTruthHurts- I totally would've waited- but I've been sick with an infection and had to eat something ( after sitting in Social Security Administration office for 3 hours) before taking ds back dowtown  to his room.  I needed my meds and I needed food and it was McDs or nada. In a healthy state it would've been nada for sure!!!!! As it was I paid the price anyways. How do people eat that crap and have normal bathroom habits if you get my drift!!! 4951
