I don't know about yall but I have a hard time drinking enough water sometimes. I've learned that adding a bag of flavored tea to the water bottle along with some stevia really helps. It's a lot better than using crystal light. Hope that helps! 4951

I don't have an issue drinking water, even plain, but it sure makes me have to visit the restroom a lot!. If I know I'm going to be somewhere like the movies or travelling in the car I tend to avoid drinking anything just so that I am not having to get up and down constantly. I also have to stop drinking a few hours before bed so I am not up all night too. I'm pretty sure I rarely drink as much water as I should! 4951

@Maisey1:
Yes, that's definitely the downside of it. 4951

That's tea. Tea contains caffeine. Caffeine is not good for hydration. Stevia does not increase blood glucose. Not a good combination, really, though not detrimental by any means 4951

Add fresh fruit instead! Stevia isn't good for you either, it can mess with your hormones! 4951

@Champagnechola:   I have found if I just add lemon to my water it is easier to drink and lemon is good for us.  I stay away from all artificial sweeteners.  They seem to make me skip periods and my doctor told me I needed to stop using them.  I also like to cut up all kinds of fruit and let it stand in water for a few hours.  It gives the water a fruity taste.

I keep a mug of ice water handy and drink plenty of water every day.  When I get up in the morning, I love to hydrate really well.  It wakes me wake up and feel refreshed. I also have to urinate regularly during the day.  I tend to cut back on hydrating in the evening,  but I hydrate before bedtime. It's rare that I have to get up during the night to urinate. 4951

I use the MIO flavoring. I've never been a water drinker unless I was outside working. 4951

And use a straw, I know sounds silly. But I am getting more water in since drinking from a straw! 4951

I like the quote attributed to Winston Chruchill about drinking water:“The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable, we had to add whisky. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.” 4951

As mentioned previously, caffeine is a diuretic.  However, for most beverages with caffeine (soda, tea, coffee, etc), you are consuming more water than you will lose from the caffeine, so you are still being hydrated by drinking those.  It's a good idea to limit your consumption of those beverages for other reasons. However, watch out for those "energy" drinks.  They contain high amounts of sugar and caffeine.  Those are not good on a regular basis. The little ones (I forget the name) can dehydrate you because it does not contain enough water to offset the caffeine and sugar. 4951
