Does anyone know where I can get a new timer locally for my dryer?  Looks easy enough to repair but just need to find the part.  Purchased the dryer at Lowe's in 2012 but they don't sell parts.  Found some online but as sweet as @Queenb is I don't want to spend my weekend in the laundry mat waiting on the part. Thanks so much in advance for any help. 4951

Not sure about local as many parts houses only sell to repairmen. I have had good luck for parts at ereplacementparts.com 4951

@dotti573: Awwww Emoticon  Pauls would be my first choice too but if he doesn't have it try 1st Source Parts on the Beltway near IAH. You're so right about timer replacement being easy but give me a shout if you have any problems and I'll see if I can help.

Paul is awesome - he told me to check the knob first and answered all my questions.  I had asked my DH to check the knob and he told me he did.  Guess what - he took the cover off but never checked the knob (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).  I took it off and yup - it's split/broken so I just took one of the other knobs and hooray - I won't be spending the day with @queenb because I fixed it.  Of course the arrow for the timer is in the wrong spot but I wrote on it so we all know how it works.  Saved myself between 50 and 200 bucks.  I might need to buy a lottery ticket today.  Thanks again for all the input and @fallon for Paul's number.  Told him I was coming on here to give him the kuddos he deserves.  He gave me the number of the supply place and different things to check out.  I'm so happy. 4951
