For some reason, a brunch buffet isn't bad to me. I'll do that. But nothing else. Golden corral has the best salad bar of anywhere but I haven't eaten there in years. 4951

@BooBear: I think dipping your lettuce in the chocolate fountain disqualifies it as a salad.

I have heard that Los Cucos and Skeeters have awesome Sunday Breakfast buffets unless you're talking about full time buffets. 4951

Hugo's Sunday brunch might change your mind. Food is super fresh off the buffet and it is frequently replenished. Definitely do valet parking and have reservations. 4951

For me, I will only do a buffet at a super busy restaurant so that I know the food is exceptionally fresh. 4951

After working in several major restaurant chains...........I pretty much don't give a damn anymore. Tour 18 Golf course was the worst tho, if you ever golf there NEVER EVER order a hot dog. We would just keep the dogs on the stove all day on a low heat, put them in the fridge overnight then heat them again in the morning.........for a month. Dogs would come out of the water and we would flip them so the "best" side(i.e. the one that was still all one color) was showing. I felt bad every time somebody ordered one.........but that was their "system". Dunno who the cook there now is, but if it is still Steve expect your food to be prepared by the Dishwasher because he was always outside smoking.......somewhere. 4951

Haven't eaten at a buffet in years other than ones for Xmas parties or weddings, etc. The last restaurant based one I went to was when a friend was trying to sell me a whole life policy in the late 80's. He took me to a big Chinese buffet on lower Kirby. I remember they had Chinese and Mexican food which seemed kind of odd. Everything was in a thick clinging greasy looking sauce. I didn't buy his policy. 4951
