I haven't used my TENS unit since my bypass surgery. Before that, it did help ease my lower back pain. It's kind of an electronic massage. I intend to start using it again soon. TENS units differ by how many paddles they use and how many features/adjustments it has. For neck pain, you probably don't need more than 4 paddles (they work in pairs). If you get one with more paddle sets, you can just unplug the ones you don't need. Mine has three types of electronic pulses and you can adjust the intensity of each set of paddles. The paddles have an adhesive that sticks to the skin but can fairly easily be removed and reused. If you like the unit, you will need to eventually get extra paddles as the adhesive does wear out.You might look at Amazon.com to compare features and prices. To me, it is well worth the price!
