Has anyone tried this, or the Walking Aerobics? Just curious. I love that's it's at 9 am 5 days a week and the fact that there is no charge. 4951

The chair yoga is an excellent way to get some basic stretching and yoga in. Monday's is a live person guiding the class, Wednesday's is a tape. You don't have to use a chair, You can do all the moves on a mat.
The walking arobics is really like an arobics class. It's a tape Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's. Monday's is a tape but it's 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weights and core. You make it what you want. I have been doing it for 2 years. Made some wonderful friends and lost 50 lbs. come try it. I think you will like it. And it's free. So, if you don't like it nothing lost. 4951

No charge. You can bring your own yoga mat, but there are some there.  You should bring a water bottle.   Monday's, Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's they use light hand weights and stretch bands (which there are some there, but some people bring their own)  4951

Let's see if I can get all the info on hereThe address is :4102 Rustic Woods. (Which is where the old library was.)There is a fee associated with the Zumba class.  But I think that is the only one on the schedule.   I also included some other events which I know some have already occurred.  But you can see what types of things there are.  And just to clarify, the classes are not only for seniors!  There is no childcare though. Let me know if you have more questions.  You can also call the center and ask. tel:281.348.2570July CalendarMondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFriday9:00-10:00am9:00-10:00am9:00-10:00am9:00-10:00am9:00-10:00amChair YogaWalking AerobicsChair YogaWalking AerobicsWalking Aerobics10:30-12:30pm10:00-12:00pm10:00-12:00pm10:30-11:30am9:00-12:00pmBeginner Crochet / Knitting / Needle WorkMahjongParty Bridge Advanced CrochetParty Bridge 11:00am-12:00pm1:00pm-4:00pm1:00-3:00pm1:00-3:00pm10:00-1:00pmFitness HourEuchreParty Bridge BunkoHand & Foot Canasta 12:30-3:00pm2:00-3:15pm6:00-9:00pm2:00-3:15pm10:30-12:30pmBINGOLine Dancing (Beginner)Duplicate Bridge Line Dancing (Beginner)Quilting6:00-8:00pm3:30-4:45pm7:00-8:00pm3:30-4:45pm1:00-4:00pmIntegral Tai ChiLine Dancing (Experienced) Zumba*Line Dancing (Experienced) Dominoes - Mexican Train6:30-7:30pm6:00-8:00pmBeginner Boot CampIntegral Tai Chi6:00-9:00pmDuplicate Bridge7:00-8:15pmMeditation*Indicates a participation fee is associated with the class.Creative Writing Club - Meeting the 2nd Thursday of the Month from 7:00pm-9:00pm.Greeting Card Class - Meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-3:00pm. @herron1345.  No problem.  I love when new people come to the classes.  We all really enjoy the classes and the friendships that have been created.  I'm sure if you come to one of the classes you will see someone you know or have friends in common.   4951

Can we have a ball park on ages involved? I'm very shy and want to be able to visualize what I may encounter. 😊 4951

The majority in the excersise type classes are 40-60.  Not sure on the games and crafting classes.  There are some on either end of that average though.  4951

So, I'm curious if anyone attended a class this last week or plans on going to a class this week. There is an 11:00 am class on Monday that is some cardio and some weights and core work.   There is also a 9:00 chair yoga class.  Come give it a try.  4951
