>> I understand the "idea" behind the stickers(despite the fact that since the City of Houston annexed Kingwood most of the "major" projects have been completed in part or completely by Houston taxpayer money thus making the parks "private" illegal but I'm sure they get away with it by paying for all the parking specific costs with association fees as anybody "can" use the parks just not park in the lots) but having to mount an sticker that lets everybody know where I live is aggravating as all get out. I just hate the idea of having to permanently(while I'm a resident of Kingwood) mark my vehicle just to park at a tax payer funded park.
@frebu: Tape it to your windshield when you need it (visiting the parks ect), then remove it while your driving around if it bothers you that other drivers know you're from KW.Could be worse like a Hillary sticker. I stuck a Hillary bumper sticker on one of my golfing buddies truck-he's the biggist Trump supporting/Hillary hating/gun toting redneck you've ever met. He drove around several days before realizing it-was abosolutely the most hilarious thing I ever witnessed as he was at the course yelling at me-veins popping out of his face-studdering he was so mad (said his boss got on him as it's a co truck and they aren't allowed bpr stickers or the like)-it was hilarious.
@cador:Â They claim if it is inside the car they can tow you(for the record I have never heard of somebody being towed either way but it is the principle of the situation)
@Andreweggplant: And the HPD(Houston Police Department) that patrols the parks are what? Oh right, employed by the city, in city vehicles, keeping the parks safe. Like the Greenbelts they are considered public spaces and have to be patrolled for safety despite technically being private property owned by the various groups trail associations around Kingwood. Also keep in mind that KSA(kingwood service association) holds 6 of the 11 spots on the SNC(super neighborhood council)Â which decides large and small houston taxpayer projects in the Kingwood area(many of which amazingly benefit KSA paying organizations because they have the largest voice). Getting a full list of the past SNC projects(especially the smaller ones) is all but impossible, but I would bet money that at least one was directly tied to the KSA parks. On another note they are trying to get a connection from kingwood into Lake Houston Park made which is amazing and would make my complaints pointless as I would just go there........so lets hope that works out.
