last night I thought I would sit by the pool before going to bed & when I opened the back door I was hit with the odor of "POT".  I have almost an acre of property & both my neighbors are  in their late 80's so I doubt if it was either of them smoking a joint (LOL) . Any way I walked to the other side of the pool & the odor got stronger , but I could not tell where it was coming from , so I went back inside & locked up for the evening. My friend said odors can drift on a quiet night so there is no telling what direction it came from . I just hope it was enjoyed  cause the smell was terrible. 4951

You never know, it may have been one of your elderly neighbors.  They could be more fun that you think, LOLI don't find the smell unpleasant.  Much better than cigarettes.   4951

Wil garlic and wild onions- the smell is overpowering in the evening and early morning. I used to. Think it was pot too. 4951

Trust me I know what "POT" smells like  , my brother use to sneak & smoke it quite often when he was a teenager.  It smells nothing like onions & garlic...it smells more like burning rubber . 4951

Lol trust me so do I -and I've also pulled up wild garlic- it would take a drug smelling dog to know the difference,but believe what you want- then it's probably your old neighbor's getting their groove on- good for them 4951

I read this post and immediately thought of an older lady I used to work with. LOVED her. She was a flower child from the word go and used the expression "New joints for old joints" when asked why she smoked pot.Made me laugh every time. 4951

The old people smoking pot reminded me of this movie clip.  As far as smell goes, it can be like burnt rubber or the sweetest pine trees, just depends on the quality/type.  Great to see tolerance for something that would have had people up in arms a decade ago.  Emoticon

@WJo:

Don't lie to us! You know you were "following the smell" to see if you a.) Could get a high from it, or b.) Ask to take a "small" hit.

If my as makes it to 80+ you bet your sweet ars I'm lighting up!

In this life , nobody lives forever, and I doubt Jesus will close the Perley gates for using his gift to us. He gave us everything except apples, so just don't smoke apples and you'll be fine.

Ha....... My parents live in a 55 plus called Laguna Woods in Califormia. Used to be called Leisure World. There has to be 40,000+ homes there.  Some have houses, others condos, but there are areas there provided if you want to grow vegetables etc. and so, there were a ton of areas growing Pot/marijuana. Mostly residents are over the age of the "Flower Children" but not all. They say it's medicinal and too expensive to buy......of course it's legal to buy in California but not grow.  4951
