Hi y'all, does anyone here attend a Body Pump class at Gold's Gym? Is this for advanced weight lifting with barbells? Is there a beginner class for wimps like me? 4951

@Zokomo: I go to body pump at gold's at least a few times a week. This class is for beginners as well as advanced. You make the class as hard or easy as you like. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. Most of the time they ask before class if it is anyone's first time and they help you out in any way possible, but even if they don't ask it is easy to follow. I took my 13 year old daughter with me a few weeks ago and she was able to follow along. YOU CAN DO IT! Emoticon No beginner class is required, trust me you don't need it.

Rack your bar with the least amount of weight and grab the lowest weight in everything else. It might feel too light at first, but you're doing a lot of reps. Bodypump has been awesome at every gym that I've gone to. Have fun! 4951

Yes it is for all levels. Go light- I've seen people do no weights or just the bar. We have the best GGX instructors at Golds!! 4951

I have been doing body pump and many other classes at Golds for a while. Instructors are wonderful at giving options for beginners. Tell the instructor that you are new and they will definitely give options and guide you through. 4951
