Does anyone know of a natural "booster". I need a vitamin that helps me with energy and feeling sluggish. Thanks in advance. Right now I take fish oil, b-12, biotin, and vitamin D. 4951

Talk to your doctor. Are you anemic?
Lots of different studies as of late are saying fish oil is basically a rip off.

Last time I was checked, I was anemic...haven't been taking my iron either. Maybe that's it! 4951

@FoFa: So are you saying fish oil doesn't really have any benefits? I am suffering with this fishy taste for nothing?! I hate fish...

Check for anemia/low iron and, maybe, thyroid function/hormone level. 4951

@FeelinMinnesota:   I was anemic with each of my pregnancies.  The first time I just thought it was normal to be so *****y.  After I started taking Iron I felt so much better.   I know how it feels to be anemic.  You really should start taking your iron.  You would have so much more energy.

I agree with the iron.Also, I have noticed that workouts go a little easier if I drink a protein drink right before working out. 4951

@AuthorMan: I eat a lot of protein and workout once sometimes twice a day and I feel like its getting harder to drag my @ss in to do it...maybe the iron will do the trick.

@FoFa:

Omegas and fish oil are very important. The reason they are being deemed a rip off is for the same reason 90 percent probiotics and vitamins dont work. People want a short cut in price at same time businesses want to make money.

Stop buying the cheap crap when it comes to health. So Im not pushing what I use I will list the name of what my second choice would be.

Innate choice suppliments. Look them up. Im not affiliated with them in any way.

Another decent company. Not my first choice but better than what you will grab off most store and even healthfood stores shelves and I use to use them with really good results.

@FeelinMinnesota:

If you eat most fatty fish, it has benefits. But most fatty fish taste terrible, too fishy for me. But most suppliers of fish pills, don't do anything. Most of the studies (not by a seller of supplements) recommend vegetable based omega 3's. Plus it is actually easy to get omega 3's from natural sources (google it). I usually eat yogurt for breakfast (I make my own) and add flax meal to it for an added boost. It's typically cheaper than pills also. I'm not a fan of whole flax seed due to they are hard to chew, too small, and will just pass through without being digested. So what's the point. 4951

@AuthorMan: Why do you think that is; physiologically that doesn't make sense?  What does your drink consist of and how long prior to exertion do you consume it?

@AuthorMan: I eat a lot of protein...

@FeelinMinnesota: Define a lot in objective terms.  How many grams per lb of body weight?

@analogkid: 26g protein, 30 minutes before workout. On the days I forget the protein, the 1hour plus on the aerobic machines and the weights for min 40 minutes feels much more taxing on the old system.

You have a history of anemia but aren't taking iron? Dr Clark (chiropractor) will do a lab test above and beyond a chem7/21 ( I believe he looks at 120+ Markers..)And can point you in the right direction . If you know you are anemic and not treating it...????  And omegas are Huge in heart /brain... Quality is key and so many  crappy supplements in the market... You have to research and pay a  bit more than the Walgreens brand 4951
