If you can't find a friend or relative that wants it, check with a bird store, they usually know a breeder that might take it. 4951

Check out Spring Branch Animal and Bird Sanctuary. They were founded by the owners of Adventures in Birds off of Westheimer and the beltway, who have always taken in parrots due to relocations etc...http://www.sbabs.org/SBABS_Home.html 4951

@FoFa:

No breeder. She needs a lover to spend time with. She's full flight. Likes to eat out of your hand and play ball.
Being with a breeder nearly killed her 9 years ago.
Someone that wants a bird.
I have her because I was supposed to foster till she went home. They decided no and left me hanging. I never trusted anyone to give her the home she needs. 4951

@hutch5510:

Yes. I may have to make a few trips. It's 12 1/2 hours. The ride would kill her in the heat. As it is I have a 140lb dog and a snake I'll be smuggling around in my purse when I go to eat.

Very hard to rehome a bird....they have great memories, can get anxious and of previously imprinted takes a great deal of patience.

Especially Parrots.

Good luck to you in your search 4951
