So just west of Waller on 290, it is very flooded, but not on 290. Saw 2 dead cattle caught in fences in running flood water. They had a bunch of cattle carriers out there, and dispatching air boats, my guess to save some cattle caught somewhere I could not see. Been many years since I saw dead cattle out. Traffic was almost at a stand still, mostly rubber necking. Water was very high, and very fast. 4951

A rancher/farmer near Willis lost 20 head of cattle, all at once, when lightning struck the metallic hay bale feeder they were all around.  Tough image to see all of them just lying all around the feeder; and a $50k loss for the farmer. 4951

Just saw a video of the Costco parking lot.  They closed because of flooding..  A lot of water with no where to go. 4951

Yeah water was running pretty good through there this AM but they were open- about 9 AM 4951

When I went through at 9 it was rising towards the parking lot close to the feeder. There's a sandy patch between the lot and the feeder and it was filled with water and still rising- don't know about now

On the way back home I noticed the sign said Brazos river.They still had a bunch of cattle trailers out there. 4951
