The rains brought in some creepy crawlies over the weekend. And Parks and Wildlife has been patrolling the neighborhood for a mountain lion all week. Haven't seen him, but I'd kinda like to out of curiosity! 4951

Oh heeeeellllllll noooooo!  I hate bugs.  Nature is cool when it stays in nature, but stay the hell away from me!  lolThere are a set of pint glass I saw once that I want.  They say "I am outdoories, in that I like to get drunk on patios".  That about sums it up. 4951

@cgm10sne1:

Doing great! Loving it out here! Kids are good. Tay had her last day of preschool today and Gage got his first taste of dog food today. So milestone days for them both. LOL! That keep my on my toes all day, so there's never a dull moment around here! The dogs love having more space to run and chase critters. They hardly bark at the deer anymore. All in all, just living life! How have you been? 4951

@RogueHippEE:

We hear coyotes all the time, but they stay pretty well hidden. I think my dogs keep the snakes ran out. Plus all our neighbors have dogs too, so we haven't had a problem with snakes thus far! Others have said they've seen foxes and i'm sure a bobcat makes it's way through every now and again too. We have cotton tail bunnies, no jack rabbits like you have! I have seen a couple of weaseles in the yard. Thought they were someone's ferrets at first. Haha! The deer should be having their babies any time now, and I'm really looking forward to that!! We also have 2 swallow nests on the back porch and their eggs should be hatching soon. They make a horrid mess, but it is fun for my 3 year old to see the babies all the time. She's already claimed them as her baby birds! Haha! 4951

@taramay: They drop their babies everywhere! In the yard, driveway, carport, you name it and the miracle of birth could happen right in from of your eyes.My husband put a rubbermaid out one day and the next it had eggs in it, needless to say, we are now the proud parents of 2 baby birds.  Stinkin' birdsOur girl barks and chases most of the snakes away, thank goodness b/c the boy has been bitten before so we have our emergency snake bite kit handy at all times. We have been told not to goi out after dark alone-not because of strangers-but because of animals.

@RogueHippEE: really? That seems a little extreme..it's not as if we have man eating lions roaming around. Most everything stays away.
