I gotta say, for a new place, it was pretty good.  We will definitely be back.  To start off, the chips were nice, warm, crisp and thin, like good cantina style should be, not too greasy. The green sauce was very good (that, chips and a rita is plenty dinner for me.)The red sauce was warm, fresh and very good. We ordered combo fajitas.  The beef was very well marinated and seasoned, and I actually liked it better than the chicken, which was also good. The beef is marinated in either wine, balsamic, teriyaki or something because it has a wonderful flavor.The rice and flour tortillas were only so-so, and nothing to set them apart from any other Tex-Mex place around.  The corn tortillas, which I enjoyed, were just right. The service was good, prompt and friendly, although, with a lot of new people, a little disjointed and hap-hazard at times.  I hate getting an "I don't know I just started" response when I ask a server a question.  This, however, is one of those growing pains that will dissolve with time, and server experience and familiarity.  Not great but to be expected with a new place. The décor is old Tex-Mex and a bit of a throwback to the Marco's days.  I kind of liked it, and it had a cozy charm to it.  The menus had that greasy, been handled too much, and not properly cleaned feel.  That's an easy fix. All they had was one menu.  There was not lunch, to-go, or dessert menu yet, so we were told by the server.  That's fine.  Not a deal-breaker. I tried to ask the scoop as to whether this was Rigo's new place and I couldn't get a straight answer out of anyone.  I guess I'll just have to rely on the local rumors for that one.  Rigo was not listed on the business card as a manager or owner and our server didn't seem to know who he was, so there you go. I'd say, all-in-all, a good experience.  Once they get a bit smoother, that will be a place I suggest for meet-ups and happy hours. 4951

Never had "warm salsa" until I moved to Texas. (lived in California, Northeast, and Midwest before)  Is this a texmex thing to warm up the salsa for the chips?   4951

@HollyHobby: I love warm salsa, but I also love cold salsa. Don't prefer it a certain way though

I remember El Charros.  It was a favorite for Girls' Night Out, as we were all smokers then, and we could sit on the patio and smoke and drink and get loud. 4951

@lisapisabobisa:

They still have the little room where they make the fresh tortillas. The waiter said they were fresh but we didn't look to see if they were making them.
My rita was awesome but it was their top dog and I paid a fortune. Did not try the house one. 4951
