Yesterday, I kept Din-Din quite simple with Grilled Cheese Sammies...  (Simple, but dizz-zamn they were righteous if I say so myself....  And I most certainly do!) Anywho, back to tonight, so I knew I needed to step it up this evenin', so I blazed up and threw down a most delightful Tuesday night homemade Taco Salad....Here goes:  Using Burrito Size (Large) Tillers (Tortillas), I placed them (one at a time) in my trusty Non-Stick Skillet Pan (which I still sprayed prior with Pam and added a tiny dab of Butter, which using a Basting Brush I distributed the Butter throughout the Pan) and crisped up both sides of each Tiller....Next: Spiced up and mashed (canned) Black Beans with a lil' Salt, freshly Ground Pepper, Garlic Powder, Paprika and Cayenne...Then: Seared up some Ground Beef, seasoned up with Garlic Salt, Paprika, Cumin, Chili Powder, Fajita Seasoning, Basil, Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper, and allowed to simmer in minimal hot water to create a slight sauce, per say....And assembly went like such: Delicious crisp Tiller for the "vessel," topped off with the Black Beans (spread around each Tiller), Ground Beef, assorted shredded Lettuce Mix, shredded Mexican Style Cheeses (HEB Brand) and a dollop of Sour Cream for the hubbs....  It was rather lovely....P.S.- I thought about usin' the Flour Tillers to create homemade Taco Shell Bowls or Chips in the oven, but did not want to heat up the kitchen, and yeah, the stove method worked out quite BUENO!

Sounds yummy. I love the idea of homemade shells instead of the pre-packaged kind. Only one thing missing.... sliced avocados. Can't have anything resembling Tex-Mex without sliced avocado. LOL! 4951

@foxymama  @FallonI can't believe I forgot to mention my love-bugs grubbage....(Dang it, herron, you're slippin', dude....)_Well, I actually cooked up a pack of Organic Chicken Breasts in my trusty Dutch Oven, 'til they basically fell apart, for my beautiful boys....I seared them up on both sides (in a lil' Butter) and then added a lil' Hot Water action and allowed them to cook / simmer until they shredded up - fork tended style! They had Pork Chops yesterday, so I figured they might be down with a lil' Chicken..........And they most definitely were!@donnatellaAwwww, dude, I wish I had an Avocado and a 'Mater for my beautiful hubbs last night, but unfortunately, home-slice, I did not, and just rolled with what my Pantry and Fridge had in stock!Avocados do NOT last long around the herron casa, my friend, as I love to make some simply Guac and enjoy with a lil' Chip-pie action!  That's First Class snackin' right there, chica! Best wishes for a truly blessed day, my beautiful friends....

We usually do Taco Tuesday but instead it's Taco Wednesday this week.  Nothing as fancy as @herron1345. Some ground beef with seasoning, refried beans, tomato, avocado, cheese, sour cream and some hot sauce for DH and DD. 4951

I fail to see how the words taco and salad can be used together.Talk about a contradiction in terms.I put lettuce on my tacos, so does that make it a salad? If I just crumble some doritos on an actual salad, does that make it a taco salad.Sounds more like a marketing ploy to me, consider that.Taco Salad, an abomination created by the restaurant business to sell more crap!Beat you can't tell I'm not a taco salad fan

@FoFa"Well, alright then" (commented on using my very best Ace Ventura Pet Detective voice)... I most certainly did not intend to upset you, dude, with the Taco "Salad" name...  Is it cool if we just call it herron's Taco Throw Down Of Loveliness.... P.S.- By the way, you've been slackin' on the Echo Updates lately (with Photos, Please and Thank You in advance!)  ....And how is that beautiful baby girl doin' , as well as Heidi, Bree-Bree, the girls and that lovely whiff of yours, my friend?....And of course, how the heck are you?  How's work (Boooooo!) at the new Office / Location, in Sugarland, right?  Yipes, what a commute, dude?
