@Gregwood: I believe in honesty, so I'm going to just say it. Attempting to shame regulars is not the way to promote a fundraising event. You admitted to coming on too strong, and some have agreed with you. Continuing is going to irritate more and cause hostility.
If you want to be successful here, you really should consider pulling back and taking it easy. The event is not this weekend, so there is no urgency or rush to get people on board. Those who are interested have stated so, but pushing others who are not interested is not the way to go. This does not have to be hostile or uncomfortable, but it seems to be heading in that direction. Please consider easing up on people. 4951
