What is the deal with J. Christophers, they used to be a consistent quality place to eat.  My last visit was almost horrendous.  Bread comes out in 22 minutes from ordering, with 3 kids thats for ever.  When the app bread arrives, boom there's dinner.  Leather like chicken and paste like consistency of alfredo sauce.  Chicken was already cut and cooked like fajitas minus the seasoning. Dry. The lady owner just does seem to be  concerned with the quality concerns.  Just apologizes. Our waitress was clueless and kept forgetting everything we asked for.  I am a 20 year plus patron of the J Christophers, and now the place is crossed off.  I am tired of paying 50 bucks for sub par food and service.   Anyone have any idea why the J. Christophers tanked. Amadeus is too pretentious, and Christophers is too far away, Italianos is wonderful but too far away.  Carrabbas is very corporate.  Where do you go for Italian?Thank you.  4951

The managers of Hasta La Pasta opened a new place in Huffman with a lot of the same menu items and old favorites from HLP. It's called Marsala's. 4951

J Christophers use to be a family favorite, but every one of us has either gotten sick or terrible heartburn from eating there, including my husband - and he has an iron stomach. We think it has something to do with their sauce, so we don't go there anymore. Other than Zammitti's I can't think of any place closer, not a chain or not pretentious... 4951

We used to eat a lot at Hasta back when they were south of Home Depot but when they moved it wasn't convenient. We mostly do our own Italian at home now, just don't like eating it out as it is not authentic or good. For French High end I still will do Chez Nous but it has to be special at that priceThat being said, is the Railroad Cafe still in Humble? That place was good but haven't been there in ages. 4951

We really like Italiano's. Carrabbas, occasionally, but it's way overpriced. 4951

I ate at J Christophers about a week ago and everything was great. We have been eating there for 33 years. Maybe they had new people they were training while you were there. 4951

We dine at J Christopher's` about every 4-6 weeks, and we have always had good experiences. If we go in on a Friday or Saturday night it is always busy which would cause food to take a little longer than usual.   4951

Italianos is the place for us we just visited on Thursday and it was awesome . We live in the back of K'wood but leave the bubble for good Italian. That has to be the best italian place to get the most bang for the buck. Carrabas is way overpriced IMO. 4951

We haven't noticed a difference in the food quality at J. Christophers but don't go as often because the number of Golds gym people's cars often make it hard to park.We like Italianos. 4951
