Rolling Stones tell Trump to stop using their musicThe band have issued a statement saying that the US presidential candidate does not have permission to use the band's music."The
Rolling Stones have never given permission to the Trump campaign to use
their songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately." Maybe Star Star would be more appropriate! 4951

Music rights are only good for 70 years so...what?  Half of their hits are in the clear to be played?  LOLBefore you chortle too hard on that, Satisfaction was written in May of 1965...51 years young. 4951

Stones haven't had a hit in so long, they should be glad they get any airplay. 4951

Hillary played Let's Go Crazy Prince but he was dead. Prince hated politics, would have never allowed it but that is how Hillary rolls. She finds a gray area and takes full advantage of it, no respect for anyone. Not even the dead. 4951

I believe the Rolling Stones genuinely disapprove of Trump and have a right to show that, regardless of legal aspects.

As for Hillary, we know how she is. But I don't know when she played Prince's song, could it have been before his death and approved by him or after and out of respect?

Bottom line, we all know this subject is just another part of the theatrical stage all these ******s do to attract attention.

As for the money, there isn't enough in the world to make me want to trade places with either of these two if I have to act like them.

Just me! 4951

@Chrisinkingwood: Who cares what "celebrities" say or do---most were lucky to finish high school and are just happy to have their name in the news. People who care what "celebrities" say or do need grow up and get a life. 4951

@Safety44: The Democratic presidential candidate walked out to Prince’s iconic song
“Let’s Go Crazy” at a campaign rally Friday in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Clinton said Thursday she was “stunned” to learn of Prince’s death. “You
think of him as being almost eternal,” she told Philadelphia radio
station WDAS-FM. “I mean, he was a bigger-than-life personality. He was
not only a songwriter and a singer but literally a one-man band. He was
such a great showman. I just was so, so sadhttp://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/277364-clinton-walks-out-to-princes-lets-go-crazy-at-rally

These larger campaigns often buy blanket rights to a large volume of music. Artist don't like it but nothing they can do about it in most cases since they don't own the music unless someone is trying to profit from it like putting it on merchandise. Not sure if this is the case with the Stones but Trump has an army of lawyers so they likely bought the blanket rights. They asked him to stop. Didn't mention anything about lawsuit so likely the case. If Trump bought those rights I would keep playing it, even more of their music. Nonsense that if you buy something you can't use it. If the Stones don't like it then don't give up control of your music. Sick of people getting upset about things they agreed to but then want to be Indian givers. 4951

@imadrummer2kDOWN WITH ART-- really?--- Art it great but do I care about their political opinion - NODo you care what your "yard boy" says about your medical needs?"Celebrities" have no special insight/knowledge about anything beyond their celebrity appeal (and typically the same level of education as the "yard boy"). Again, who cares! 4951
