I have been going to the one on the woodlands for a couple of years now. Started going to humble because it is so close.
Is it just me or are the cashiers and especially the people that help the cashier just not friendly and rude. I always have to ask for boxes or after I pay for it I box it up myself, woodlands they have always offered and have them handy.
Today the gal was just throwing my stuff on the belt and there was a fair amount of produce that could be bruised. I asked for boxes she didnt say anything just rolled her eyes and walked off the manager came over found boxes asap and boxed it all up nice with care. It Is night and day with customerr service between the 2 locations. 4951

Bring it up to the Humble management and followup with an email to corporate. I'd be surprised if what you saw doesn't improve. As for me I have not had any issues but that doesn't mean it didn't happen to you. 4951

I've never had an issue like that going to the humble costco. They always ask me if I need a box and are usually pretty good with my produce when I actually get any. 4951

I was there today also.  I have only gone to Costco 3 times and never had a membership till now.  I had a friend with me today as I did the times before.  My stuff got put on the belt and then my friend's stuff.  After they were done with my stuff and I paid they told my friend that next time her stuff needed to be checked out on the same ticket as mine.  Why?  They did not care the two times before.  What has changed?  My friend had cash so it's not like she was writing a check or something.    4951

The last time I was at the Costco in the Woodlands before the one here opened I had my MiL and I used my member card for both but used her credit card to pay for a few things she picked up and there was no problem. Maybe they have a rule that was not being enforced or something but they didn't say anything. Then again, I used her credit card that I have in my wallet so I did pay for the 2 purchases but with different cards. Had she tried to pay it might have been questioned.A few years ago I was at the Costco out on FM249 at Greens and I had brought in my rebate check to use, it was over $100. I handed it to the cashier with my member card and asked her to apply it when  she totaled my order. She ignored my request, totaled the order without it and suggested I just take it to customer service and get cash back. "That wasn't what I asked for" I told her. "I pay my credit card in full each month, and I don't want to have the bigger bill to pay off. The cash now won't help me in a month when the bill is due" Finally a manager was called and they ended up giving me a full refund and then doing the check out again the way I asked for. The cashier was really **** at me!  4951

@TEXASGIRLMAMMA: Their objective is not to have you bring random people in under your membership, they want to sell them the membership - some say this is most of their profit.  They might be a bit lax on things during start-up but I bet they start tightening up as they get their people properly trained, etc.

I have been to the Humble Costco weekly since it opened, and I have never experienced any rudeness there. I perfer it to The Woodlands because The Woodlands seemed smaller than Willowbrook (which is where we went before). But the checkers have always been kind as well as the cafe staff. So much quicker and more efficient than Sam's. 4951

We have been to Costco here several times and I actually always leave commenting on how nice all the employees are. They always ask me if I want a box and everyone always has a smile on their face.

Maybe the problem is not with the employees. 4951

It is a warehouse store, the boxes are self-serve, just grab what you need. I don't recall being asked at the other Costco stores if I wanted a box. It is all about the speed of the check-out - get them though and out - I appreciate that after the forever wait in Sam's lines. 4951

I never had any issues with Costco employees and the employees have been really helpful more than what I can say about SAMS. Maybe SAMS can now clean house and get rid of the rif rafs working there. 4951

I was a guest last night and they didn't say anything to us. The cashier and assistant were both very friendly. They didn't offer boxes to us either I didn't even know that was an option. We made the mistake of going in a car, instead of a truck (my first time). My DH suggested using laundry baskets to bring everything in that made it a lot easier.
