...Growing up in this area 30 years ago, I recall every water puddle would have tadpoles. Now I did not see one tadpole in any water puddle after these rains. Seems the frogs are less too. Wonder if all the lawn and air chemicals have depleted them.

I think it just depends on where they're living. I'm in bear branch. I fertilized my yard a month ago. I have so many frogs in my yard that I can barely hear the tv in the evenings. It's nearly unbearable to sit in my back yard. At least the mosquitoes can be deterred with candles or spray or whatever. The frogs are SO FREAKING LOUD!!!
I've been here 6 years. Apparently they like the mid section of my block more than the woods and Creek at the end of the block. It's crazy how much louder they are here than at the creek. Nature is so weird. 4951
