I current;y pay $140 per month for TV and Internet with DirecTV and Centurylink.Xfinity has a double play deal with 140 channels and 75 Mbps Internet for $70 per month for a year, which will become $80 per month with a second TV connected.  That rises to $100 per month in year two, which is still $40 less than I current;y pay.But what about taxes and fees?  Anyone with Comcast , please let me know what are the total taxes and fees on your bill. 4951

If it helps you at all, at least for a data point, our Suddenhole fees are $20 for comparable service (channels, 75 mps internet, 3 tubes, 3 TVOs). 4951

Well, that's a lot of fees and taxes but it still puts me lower than I am with DTV and Centurylink along with gives me faster Internet. 4951

Comcast rep said $12 - $15 taxes and feed. Now I'm working on the retention offers from DirecTV and Centurylink.DirecTV offered $20 less a month for a year without any long term commitment.  The other option is $40 off a month if I commit to a year. That would bring my current combined TV/Internet to $100 a month with 6 Mbps Internet vs $95 for the first year and $115 the second year with 75Mbps Internet from XFinity.Let's see what Centurylink offers for retention.  If it's nothing, I will likely switch to Xfinity. 4951

Centurylink will upgrade the account to 50 Mbps with a one year committment.  I already have the modem/router needed to handle that service. So now the bill will be $98 a month with DTV/Centurylink.  I had it wrong in the earlier post, I pay $33 per month for the Internet and $105 per month for DTV:  those include all the taxes and fees.Xfinity will be $95 per month, including taxes, plus I have to buy a new modem/router which will be about $100.  It goes to $120, after taxes and fees, in the second year.  There  is a little faster speed with XFinity:  75 vs 50 Mbps.I have to ponder on  that extra 25 Mbps. 4951
