@princecharming: MAN, how lucky you are, I would kill for a smelly house for some homemade fried chicken! My mother-in-law never made anything that good. 4951

@princecharming: If you get tired of that send her over to my house-I love homemade fried chicken and can deal with the smell for a short while. 4951
You sound like my sister. She has never allowed anything to be fried inside her house in 16 years. Not even bacon. She has an outdoor stove and an deep fryer for such things. Perhaps it's time to expand your accommodations. 4951

well I have a brand new outdoor kitchen I personally built with a double side burner AND a fairly bed 4-6 PC deep fryer all outside in the backyard particularly for this reason . I guess I was just hoping for a fresh clean NEW smell when I walked in to the house after a long plane ride home .... I still think she is the best MIL except when she cooks FC inside the house lol 4951
I can deal with frying chicken and frying fish.....boiling cabbage smells like a rotten porta potty. Last time the MIL came down we had crappie & calf fries. 4951
Lysol has an air freshner called .."Nutra-Air" works great on all kinds of odor . I keep a can in each room of the house . $3.29 per can
@WJo: I found an air freshener called odoban. It comes in solid and spray. Works really really well. Almost better than "Nutra-Air", Only can find it at Home Depot though. 4951
