Already miss Hamblen Road escape from Forest Cove. Traffic is backed up to and including St. Andrews. I left at 7:00 and thought it was bad when it only took me four light cycles at KWD and Chestnut Ridge to gt onto KWD. At 9:00, the traffic is three time worse. So I'm thinking a minimum of 30 minutes to get through just that light. Pray the river goes down! [EDIT 4/20/16] - The National Weather Service has extended an Flood Warning for the West Fork of the San Jacinto River, near Hamblen, until late Sunday night. At 8.45pm Tuesday (4/19/16), the river was at 56.1 ft. @Safety44: Â Is Hamblen closed or is it just the road that goes under HWY 59?
@TEXASGIRLMAMMA: It's Hamblen Road. I usually make the right at Jack's and it was closed. Saw water all over the place from the San Jacinto I presume. I went from that to the KWD mess today. But I'm thankful I at least made it to work today! 4951
It bites that the rain didn't do most of the damage in OUR area. Whenever I hear about the damn I think, uh oh, here it goes again. Stay safe Forest Cove folks! 4951
