I pulled the rear struts on our 1996 Toyota Avalon Saturday. Actually all 4 are shot but are under warranty from O'Reilly's.  I installed them in March of 2002 and they pulled up a copy of my receipt. I decided to do the rear ones first since it's a bit involved with removing the rear seat to unbolt the upper strut mounts. I will do the front ones next week but that job also includes replacing the CV axles which are shot but also under warranty. And the lower control arm bushings are falling apart so they will get replaced. And I think I will pull and swap out the steering rack and pump as both are leaking.  This is the car I use to get my MiL around to doctors or shopping when my wife is using her new car, mom can't climb up into my Land Rover. Yes, it's a 1996 with 340,000+ miles on it but it's paid for and the AC still works and who wants another car payment. Anyway, they had to order my struts and rubber parts as they don't keep them in stock so they should come in about the time the rain goes away by mid week. I put a pop up cover over the car but it didn't do much good with that storm blowing like it did. 4951

The battery in our van has been dead for a week. We tend to not do things till they have to be done.

Michaels truck will be repaired till the interior is bad and the radio stops working, it has a new engine we had put in last year. He is too hard on trucks to get a new $50k one. Travis'truck, that my dad left him when he passed has almost 300k miles on it and even though Travis has done his best to destroy it on the outside, it still rides smoother than any of our other vehicles. My oldest had the van for a couple of years until she totaled her sisters car..only one of the power doors works, the AC only kicks on when you are turning left AND you kick something under the dash, the headliner is coming down. And the leather is cracked on the drivers seat...PERFECT vehicle for my 20YO that thinks she is too good to get a JOB. 4951

Yes, but it's almost a big as a first apartment so if she ever needed somewhere to stay..........I don't want her to be homeless.
