well, first of all I love me some Melissa McCarthy - she is a "woman after my own heart"....love her spunk, her hootzpah, her wit, her body size acceptance......she does no wrong to me.  However, her last 3 or 4 movies, all I can say is she needs to lose all the "F bombs" as they aren't necessary to the humor, and almost seem like overkill on her part.  Don't quite understand what she is trying to prove - wish someone would tell her that it just isn't needed...now, one or two I could accept, but ....it doesn't make her performance "better", just diminishes it as far as I'm concerned......but, putting that aside, I saw "The Boss" yesterday and it was funny as heck and I laughed my butt off........aaaannnnddd, I see in previews that she is coming back in another one soon called "Ghostbusters" which I'll probably go see just because it's her.........so as I can figure, she's been in about 6 or 7 movies in the last year and half or so, so this gal is "killing it" financially aaaalllll  the way to the bank!!!!!   So, she has something and she is using it for all it is worth.....more power to a chubby gal, you show them skinny girls Melissa.....she is married to Ben Falcone (who she charmingly gets in her movies somewhere too...), has two adorable little girls, and seems to have not let Hollywood ruin her....yet......I do see that she has lost some weight and that's ok I guess, but I'm hoping she did it because SHE wanted to, not because "Hollywood" pressure made her.........and, yall, she is a gorgeous woman if you just take the time to look.......love love love her........she is one of my idols.....and I don't choose idols easily....let's hear it for the chubby girls!!!!M. ONE MYSELF 4951

I saw it Thur. night...way to many F-bombs(and mother F-ers). Don't understand the need for it. Came close to leaving, but then it slowed somewhat. When I went to see the movie Neighbors, I walked out after the first 20 min. Plan on seeing "Hello, my name is Doris", I see it is rated R, hope it's not as bad with the language... 4951

She's annoying, not funny and vulgar. But, she's making money, so whatever. I won't spend my money watching her.

Love Sally Field though.

@jax: I like her role on Mike & Molly, but apparently that's out of character for her. Her norm seems to be her movie roles, which I don't find funny at all. Just not into the self deprecating humor and her stand out token fat chick persona.

The Bridesmaids scene where they get sick at the dress shop, that was really funny. Really her only good movie, rest were much much weaker. Also some great skits on SNL.One of my favorites:http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/pickup-artist/2985370 4951

I liked her movie Identity Theft. As for the cursing, she's just reading from the script based on what the writers wrote, not sure if she would have any say or not...

@bubbleyes72: I am pretty sure the actors get to add their touch to the script and do a lot of adlibing. I know someone who started out as a consultant, then progressed as an extra and now in active roles. Bottom line is that they chose the actor that fits the part because of their personality, as well as acting abilities. Most of the actors don't veer off their personalities for their parts, that is what makes them so much better and realistic for their roles. I agree with most of the comments here. I won't pay to see her in the theatre but if the kids watch it at home I will watch with them and most likely play around on my tablet during it. She is funny in general, yet these kind of comedies aren't my thing.

@magnoliamam: I was wondering about that one... I'm a big Sally Field fan!! I watched the trailer, and it looked like it might be funny and mindless. (Kind of like me...) Sometimes I wonder about all the "f-bombs." Are they really important to the plot or story line???

Surprised they had so much language in the trailers. I guess thats the norm now. One guy said it wall to wall f bombs. Too much cussing will kill a movie too. 4951

@klp1972: adorable movie...Sally is silly, mindless, a vixen, introspective, sensitive, sweet, ditzy, scattered, falls in love too hard, passionate, timid, loving, nurturing, responsible.........a beautiful character...and yes, I'm like that too a lot of the time......and it makes me who I am, my Sicilian traits I'm sure.....and the whole "f-bomb" thing does nothing to improve a movie for me - actually takes away from its positives.....and I hope Melissa stops doing it soon.....

Melissa McCarthy reminds me of Ben Stiller....always playing the same character. No range. To me, she isn't funny. But, to each their own. 4951

I always thought that "F word" was an abbreviation for the phrase "Fornication under consent of the King." 4951
