Hi! My daughter has been with Alliance for years but I'm considering moving her to this group in the fall. I know they have recently expanded into Kingwood and claim to have a good competitive pathway to ENCL play. If anyone has a daughter that plays with this group I'd really appreciate any feedback you may have. Thank you! 4951

My daughter played with The Rush for several years & she really enjoyed it.
She played over in The Woodlands and played ECNL for 3 or 4 years (I can't remember how many exactly). It was a good experience.

The club is more competitive than the Alliance and it is very well organized.

Jamie is a great trainer & the girls really liked him. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

My son moved last year from Alliance to Kingwood Rush. He loves it!!!! His coaches are excellent. His team really grew under their directions. They love the game, their training is very well planned, and they treat players with respect. The boys are happy to train hard!

If your daughter is pre-competitive age (born 2007-2010) there are two free open clinics for those that are interested in Texas Rush (on May 9th and May 13th). Check their website:

I don't see any prices on the website. Someone told me that this is very expensive, in the $1,000 to $2,000 range. Is this correct? I was interested in the Rec leauge for my dd but it just says coming this fall.... 4951

@BearfinThank you for your interest into our program.Based on your daughter's birth year will depend on the price of the program. We do not currently have our recreational program in Kingwood (anticipated to start in Fall 2017). I would certainly recommend your daughter though to come out to either of the following options (based on her age) - 2016/17 Kingwood Youth Academy (U8-U10) – Open ClinicsThe Kingwood Youth Academy Open Clinics will be on Monday May 9 and Friday May 13, for Soccer players of all abilities (born in 2007-2010) to attend to experience the program and for more information. Please see schedule below. There is no charge for this session. CLICK HERE for more information on the Kingwood Youth Academy program.2016/2017 Kingwood Competitive TryoutsThe Texas Rush Kingwood Competitive tryouts will be conducted May 16-18 (U11-U13) for players born in 2004-2006 and June 6-8 (U14-U18) for players born in 1998-2003.CLICK HERE for more information on the Texas Rush Kingwood Competitive Program. Please let me know if you have any other questions.Jamie Bell Director of Coaching – KingwoodDirector of Coaching – CampsRUSH | Texas Rush Soccer ClubOffice: 281-298-2180 | Cell: 281-974-6616Fax: 281-298-8734 | Field Conditions 281-298-1862 jbell@texasrush.com | www.texasrush.com 4951

It gets expensive when they reach competitive age (U11). It is around $1400 plus uniform, tournament fees (if your child wants to participate) and regular game fees (around 150-200 a year). You don't have to pay it all at once so it feels little less painful.

I saw on the Rush website their academy is $550 a season. The U10 academy trains 3 times a week!

It's really good to have your child in academy, at least one year prior to competitive........unless you have a really great team and a fantastic rec coach that does tournaments, and more than one practice a week. That acctually happens more than you'd think (although they too often 'release' their teams to academy at some point). Many passionate soccer dads in Kingwood. Great thanks to all of them!!!!!!!! WE WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL TO OUR REC COACHES!!!!! They really put their hearts into it!!!!! 4951

We played with Challenge this past year and no real nice way of saying this...it just sucks. I have spoken to several families that felt the same way last season so they started with Rush in the fall and have absolutely loved it. I look forward to checking them out. 4951
