My hair is falling out in chunks. I don't have any bald spots, but I have fuzzy hair that sticks up because it's regrowing when I wear my hair up, my weight is going crazy. I lost ten lbs in two weeks without even trying. Now I gained it all back. (Boo.) I'm choosing KDCmd instead of webmd. It cannot be pregnancy because I had a tubal after I had my daughter...any ideas? It drives my crazy! My daughter grabs my hair and she gets fists full and I have to untangle it from her fingers. I also have to vacuum sometimes twice a day because I shed more than my dog.

My hair used to be so healthy now it's thinning and just awful Emoticon 4951

Thyroid. And how old are you maybe peri menopause? I start peri menopause at 37- with my hair falling out. Thyroid was "normal" but I suspect it wasn't normal for me 4951

Thyroid?

Diabetes?

@J2911: Yes, those both can cause these issues. Do you agree a trip to the doc is order & a full blood work up?

Are you over stressed?

@J2911:

Yes very. I've had a lot going on. Also, do you think it could just be a hormone thing since I had a tubal ligation? I know y'all aren't doctors, but I hate going to the doctor unless I absolutely cannot function 4951

@deltadawn:

Can I request that? The reason I hate going to the doctor is because I feel like he doesn't listen to me :/ 4951

If your doctor does not listen to you, you need a new one. Mine does, and if I told I developed a symptom like this and I wanted a full work up, she would order it, I could get it done, and then visit with her for the results a week or so later.   4951

My hair started falling out by the handful this past summer. I think it was due to stress. I started putting unflavored gelatin in my coffee every single morning. I also started taking biotin. After a month the amount of hair loss decreased significantly. Now that it's been 6 months I've noticed that my hair is thicker and growing like crazy and still not falling out even as my stress level remains the same. 4951
