I've got to work all weekend.  I bought a ham, so hopefully someone will cook it.  Anything else made is great! 4951

Making Pb & J sammies and delivering them to homeless. Along with socks and shoes I've been collecting for a few weeks.
No negative comments please. They are human, someone's family. Just showing compassion.
Blessings to all. 4951

I cooked the Big meal Saturday instead.  I made a new side, fresh green beans cooked in some boiling water for a few minutes then put in a pan with melted butter and brown sugar and topped with cooked crisp bacon pieces!  It was great! I haven't made a baked chicken in ages.  I forgot how freaking good it is and the house smelled heavenly.  I seasoned the cavity with salt and pepper then stuffed a whole head of garlic in and added fresh sprigs of rosemary.  The I stuffed pats of butter and salt and pepper under the skin then seasoned the oustside with olive oil and more salt and some paprika. Plus i put large chunks of onion seasoned with oil and  salt under it.   It was the shiznizzle!  So freaking juicy and made a fantastic brown gravy all on its own. 4951

I'm going to a relative's house.... My big mouth - so yesterday I made spinach dip which is in a bread bowl, but it's on a large cookie sheet looking like a bunny. Made a casserole of very fattening potatoes, and we have to be there by noon so I made a spinach & asparagus morning casserole and I was told to bring 3lbs of coleslaw.  I'm done! 4951

@Nurse3:
Sorry to hear you have to work.
I'll bet your patients appreciate it though.
A special Happy Easter to you and others that have to work serving the rest of our needs.
God Bless

I so long for a nice Easter dinner like I had at Grandma's house.  Big Sigh... Guess I will settle for spending the day with the dog since my friends don't seem to believe in spending holidays with friends and family...  😞.  Happy Easter Everyone!   4951

Bbq yesterday with my family. Always have to have Mom's deviled eggs.

Today was fried chicken with hubby's family.

About to try to work off a few calories doing yard work. I bought three flats of flowers at HEB and they need to be planted.

Did an Easter ham with a kick-butt glaze, carrot ginger soup, roasted garlic mashed potatoes (Pioneer Woman-style...holy MOly!), fried cabbage, tossed salad, avocado deviled eggs and my mom's carrot cake recipe for dessert. My family most definitely did not starve. 😊 4951
