Ok, with our new exclusion from and our inability to use PPO, per Texas law and Obamacare, can anyone recommend a personal care physician they use and like, that I can check to see if he/she is acceptable to our new, improved, and more costly BCBS HMO? 4951

We use Dr. McCoig and his practitioners.

I've been very satisfied with their service and they always make every attempt to accommodate my crazy schedule.

Don't know about insurances but he is affiliated with Memorial Herman Northeast. 4951

I could be mistaken, but nothing in Texas law or Federal law prohibits the use of a PPO.

Many of the insurance providers have removed the PPO option from the Obamacare exchanges because they were losing money.
With the HMO plans the insurance companies can better control the costs.

@RogueHippEE: They are still readily available for Employer plans-just not for Individual plans.

Rather than yet another thread derailing, just answer the darn question. @cador is correct. Give me a list of good doctors. 4951

@rugburn: Sorry, I had to go back to the beginning because I forgot the question.
Can't somebody give some names of doctors they like. Rugburn seems to be asking our help.
