Galaxy's new flagship S 7 edge has taken all the features I love out of the 7.

No more IR blaster....
with the kids that keep breaking device remote controls, I have been using my S5 as a remote control for about 2 yrs now... haven't had the need to get more remotes for any devices since the phone is a universal remote.

No more screen sensitivity adjustment....
I was using a pencil, pen, stick, knife, bullets and just about anything that I could use as a pointer to control my phone, plus, it worked very well when wearing welding or mechanic gloves. S7 does not allow you to increase the sensitivity so all the "active" features have been removed.

Facebook....
this was the biggest disappointments... Facebook can't be uninstalled. If many of you don't know. Facebook will at times "test" their user base by annoying the crap out of you to "see" if a new Facebook feature is tolerable. I don't play those games so i don't have facebook apps installed on anything. seems like Mark ****enburg payed some extra cash to have his stupid app installed without the ability to uninstall.

"That's what she said"....
It just does not feel right. Although it's Longer and thinner than the previous models, it just doesn't fit well in my hand. Maybe a lot of women complained about the girth of the previous phones and Samsung listened. I think they just missed the mark.

...So today, it's going back in the box and back to Costco.

Thank you so much for giving a thorough review. Wow that helped me out a lot I definitely don't want to deal with fakebook being stuck on my phone. 4951

Not bring able to uninstall apps ticks me off about Samsung in general. I barely have enough room on my phone as it is to even look at my emails!! Back to iPhone for me when my contract is up 4951

Ooh, good to know.  I love the heck out of my S5 and I DREAD having to get a new phone.  I never would have thought it, but I really like the remote control feature, too.  DH is forever putting the remote right next to the TV (Why?  Why does that make sense to him?) and I love that I can just roll my eyes at him and use my phone instead. The S6 did away with the SD card - did I hear correctly that the S7 added that back in?  I love the SD card. 4951

@yankeejessica: Weird - this is the first time I've heard of a Samsung not allowing the uninstall.  Is that a thing, now?   I've removed MOST of the pre-installed apps from my S5.  But my iPhone?  Was freaking full of apps that I couldn't remove.  I just had to dump them all in a folder to get them out of my way.

I know this is several phones ago, but I HATED the Samsung S3.  Was forced into it at work and I hated it.  Fortunately, it only lasted until time to renew and I went back to iPhone. 4951

The s7 added the SD cards back, but you will need a tool to pop it out of the phone. The tool is small enough to fit on your key chain, but I thought it too pointy to keep there. I know I'll end up stabbing my private parts down there with it. 4951

I still have my S3 and it works fine for me.  Of course, I don't have many apps loaded on it.  Besides the basic phone, text, and camera, I have a GPS/maps app and a few other apps.  I don't do email on it or browse the internet because I can't see the screen that well. 4951

@bubbleyes72:  Oh, I plan to keep my S3 as long as it continues to work.  My son and daughter like the latest gadgets but I'm happy as long as it does what I need it to do.
