@Humble Mommy: If they were addressed properly but got delivered to you, the USPS made the mistake. The question is why has it happened more than once. Do they have the little bar codes along the bottom-right of the envelope? An error there could send it to the wrong zip code and route, but a postal worker then has to look at it to put it in your mailbox.Just mark them return to sender and put them back in the mailbox.Years ago, I mailed a car payment through the USPS using a pre-addressed envelope. A couple of days later, a guy from Katy called to let me know that he received it in his mailbox and was going to put it back in his mailbox the next day. He called just to let me know in case my payment ended up being late.
@Retired_Engineer: no someone at the bank just sent other peoples letters along with mine.
Yes very scary to know it wasn't a one time mistake since it keeps happening.
@Humble Mommy: Wow, they are violating privacy laws (this could be very serious depending on what the letters contain)! I'd call them and tell them that if it happens again, you will notify the news media. I'm sure the media would jump all over a story like that and the credit union could face stiff fines.edited: I just remembered an incident years ago after the company I worked for started using automatic systems to mail out our checks. I had another person's check stuck to the back of mine because of a little spot of glue. His name was alphabetically after mine and we both lived in LaPlace. I put his check back in the envelope, taped it shut, wrote "delivered to the wrong address" on it, and put it in his mailbox. If I had known him well, I would have just knocked on his door and handed it to him.
