>> Not to long ago family would take care of their own. Now days its I'm too "busy"
@Ebola: Do you need a hug? Â
@terilyntx: I think everybody needs a hug now and then.
My heart takes a jump every time I see someone in that situation smile. I think of how I would feel if I was sick all the time or had no family to look after me.
I'd be lost without my family, especially my wife!
@Safety44:
I hear ya. I just get annoyed with generalizations... The 'now days it's I'm too busy.' Who knows what is going on in a family. What has happened. The circumstances...
@terilyntx: Â It's not just a matter of "too busy". Â Distance can be a factor. Â Even being just 5 hours away is too much for helping in day to day things (in our case).
@Retired_Engineer: Understand all too well. I had a hard time arranging for a few of my brothers and sisters to come down here for mom's 90 th birthday.
I know how it is because I put nearly 20,000 miles a year on my truck just driving between here with my mother and the rest of my family in Missouri.
I'm just thankful I have the time and money (and health) to be able to do it.
