Last time I bent the Crap out of the blade when I hit some metal in the yard. Replaced it today.

@Jpgurl: Someone threw a piece of black angle iron in my yard it appears, and I hit it without seeing it first.

Well I'm glad it stayed under the mower instead of flying out and hitting you!!!! We put a new blade and now the dang pine cones get caught between it and the housing. Make an awful noise- would wake the dead!!! 4951

@Jpgurl: You have the wrong blade. Each blade is matched to the engine speed/force, acting as the engine's counter balance, and flywheel.

@FoFa: That appears to be a mulching blade. Not the same as the previous blade. Weight and shape of the blade matter, as well as length.

@FoFa: Check the weight, if you can. An improper blade can ruin the engine. Couple of ounces can throw it off.

@DanStanton:

Made by the mfg. for the mower. One has to assume it works. It is thicker and heavier however. 4951

@DanStanton: No worries- hubs is quite versed in this stuff- same exact blade - not an after market or general replacement product. The same exact one- but new for our model.
