Then it is unlikely that you can save it.  Depending on its age, you could search the internet for ways to feed it and care for it. 4951

usually the best course of action is to leave it alone. 4951

As much as you want to save it, that might not be possible. The  laws of nature can be cruel but your heart's in the right place. 4951

Just set him outside where you found him. Mom or dad will probably find him and get him to a safe place.
Of you handle it much, they will smell you and abandon him.
Then again, if they noticed something wrong with him (sick or deformed) they will also kick him out of the nest to protect the others.
Let nature take its course.
Sorry but it's best 4951

@Safety44:  I've read a couple of things that say that this is an old wive's tale and is not true.  Don't know if it is true or not but it was on the internet!

@GoldenGirl: Guys, no offense, but animals, especially birds have much keener senses than humans. They know exactly what had been around them.
Raising pigeons: if you handle the young, you should catch the hen and rub her against the young or the male will not feed the baby it's milk,
When a cow tells its calf to lay under a bush and you move the calf, the cow can smell that you have been there and even of it finds the calf, she won't be comfortable with it.
Momma rabbits often kill their young if they smell human scent on them.
These are not myths. Sorry

You ain't fooling me with your bull chit! Since when do birds give milk? And I worked on the farm with my dad and 800 head of cattle, we handled the young just fine, jees city boy with graduate of M.I.Google.U.

@elguapo: Sorry, I didn't attend that school. I attended MISSOURI University for Veterinary Medicine.

I failed genetics the first time so I took it again.

I raised pigeons to study the ressessive genes in birds. Which control color and physical characteristics. Crossed various pigeons carrying genes that make them roll, spin, fly high and free fall.

Just a hobby but extremely interesting if you have the time.

Most breeds of pigeons and some doves, the make nurses the babies.

Just my opinion...Thanks.
