Okay, so the culinary gods have smiled on you and granted you a one-time use unlimited GC for a very special dinner.  You can go anywhere you wish, even an old favorite place is no longer in business. (1) Would you go sometime soon or save for a special occasion?(2) Where would you go?(3) Who would you take with you?(4) Specifically, what would you order? 4951

I would go to Fogo de Chao and eat everything I could.  I would save it for a special occasion and I don't know who I would go with, but they would drive Emoticon 4951

I miss the Old San Francisco Steakhouse that used to be on Westheimer.  Didn't realize that our last trip there would really be our last trip there.  It was the best and we loved it.  Apparently the only one left is in San Antonio and it is now just a special events location and no longer open to the public.  =( 4951

I remember the first time I went there.  Right after I moved here in 1985, looked up and saw the girls swinging on the trapeze...  Nothing like that at restaurants in the Midwest...

I would love for the Magic Pan to reopen.

I didn't get to eat there often enough when I was old enough to appreciate it. 4951

I would have to pick a place that is no longer open for sure. I would probably choose Magic Island if the kids were included - the food was good and I know my kids would love the entertainment. If it were just my husband and I it would be a toss up between Swiss Chalet or Vargos. Swiss Chalet's food was very good, but Vargos had those gardens with the peacocks roaming around. No matter where, I would save it for a special occasion... 4951

Maybe Wolfgang Puck's place or perhaps a restaurant owned by an Iron Chef. 4951

It would be Commander's Palace in New Orleans.  I'm not sure what entree I would order but I definitely would order the Bread Pudding Souffle with whiskey sauce for desert.  You have to order it with your entree because it takes time to cook it. 4951

I would go back to Germany- to Just outside Koblenz- a suburb called Koblenz Guls. We stayed a hotel and it had a restaurant with a patio over looking the Mosel River.

I would order their Schnitzel in Mushroom sauce with sptzle with goat cheese and a side of kraut salad- it's not bitter like saurkraut it tangy and a little sweet. And a bottle of the local DRY Reisling. Best meal I've ever had ( I wasn't a huge fan of German food until I went over there). Hubs ordered the same thing- 2 dinners and a bottle of wine with tip came to under 30EU. We ate like kings over and it was inexpensive.
We're going back and travel along the Mosel next year- I can't wait to go back to that little hotel!!!! 4951

Since I have the chance to try out new places and chefs all the time this will be my journey
1. I would take a homeless person or a person that never had a chance to experience it to wherever they wanted to go
2. Let them order what ever they would like
3.as soon as they would like to go 4951
