Graham and Moore barely played last year, so they won't be missed at all.  There may be more to come. 4951

@Txbutterfly: It wasn't that much money for Clowney.  Rookie deals are not where football players make their money these days.  Time will tell if he can play a full season.  I'm hoping he will.

How much did the team open up by releasing Foster?

BTW - best move they've made in years by getting rid of the injury-prone guy. He was fantastic when healthy, but they held on too long.

@jax: Yep - but don't forget they did the same with Andre Johnson last year so it's not uncharacteristic.  And they only held on one year too long - he had a good year in 2014.  Here is his goodbye:

He was great for the Texans, no doubt, but first sign of back-to-back injuries should've raised a red flag immediately.

Ok, so now they need a solid running back and a quarterback who doesn't play with a blindfold on. Is RG3 on their radar?

@jax:

I would welcome it, but probably not. All signs point to a reunion of o'brien and hackenberg from penn state. I think thats a risky idea but if we could also get elliott from ohio state along with him it might work. 4951

@PedroDePacas: They definitely need to take a back fairly high in the draft.  It is tough to find backs that are as slippery as Foster, with good hands to boot.  As far as QB goes, it will be interesting.  I hope it's not Hackenberg as I don't think he runs that well, and, in my opinion, most teams today are successful with more mobile QB's (Aaron Rodgers, Wilson, Cam).

I think we need to sign a running back already in the NFL then take a gamble on a decent late round back and draft high for a QB. Will the rookie QB most likely sit? We don't know for sure but it would be nice to have a veteran in the backfield either way instead of a rookie QB and RB combo. 4951

@buffaloglenn: O'Brien's system isn't built around a mobile QB, though.  Think "Tom Brady".  That's why he was more interested in taking a flyer on Mallett than allowing Keenum or Fitz to have the job.  Savageand Yates are both guys in that "big arm no feet" mold as well.  The only reason I can think of as to why he has Hoyer is because of the previous relationship in NE and maybe wants his off-field presence in the locker room.I think we're going to see him take Hackenberg or maybe Connor Cook out of Michigan State.  Both are big body pocket passers and fit his offense.  4951

I like Osweiler, but I don't see Denver letting him get away. 4951

@JAX Foster cap number $8.9M, cap savings $6.6M by cutting him. That alone will cover much of cap space for this years draft. Good business decision for an aging, oft injured former stud. 4951

@ForeCPA90: Elway and Kubiak have both already came out publicly saying he is their guy going forward.  Just a matter of getting him signed with the franchise tag being occupied by Von Miller.
