I'm loving it. We're road tripping every other weekend. With our crossover SUV getting 30 MPG, we're able to travel around Tx & Louisiana for $60 round trip! I foresee lots of camping in our future! Will be taking advantage of these prices as much as possible! 4951
We lost 14 more last week to layoffs, the O&G field is a scary place to be right now. Especially service related companies. If he wells are not operating, there is no work for us. US wells are below 500 count for the first time snce the 80s. Yes, enjoy the prices while you can, and yes, the prices will not make much of a difference in the industry at this point. Just helps those out of work to not have to pay as much while searching. 4951
I ran my car to one gallon because gas was $1.35. The day before I was only down a 1/4 so I didn't mess with it but gas was $1.32 the day before. My husband needs a brake job so took my car. He filled up and got change for the $20. It was costing me $50 so putting the extra cash away in a separate account with the monies I would have paid on bills I chose to pay off instead of buying more junk at Christmas. 4951
The oil renaissance that made our country less dependent on foreign oil is over, for now at least. We will buy more Saudi and Canadian crude as they are cheaper supplies than new domestic production. I hope everyone in the industry saved while they could. 4951
Its a big circle one side suffers just because you work in the service industry doesn't mean you wont feel the loss of wages. Houston is oil based and the train is slowing down. 4951
For people not in O&G, they are loving their bubble of cheap gas. Sure, it's nice to fill up for next to nothing, but what they don't understand is that will eventually trickle down and negative affect them. Businesses that are indirectly related will also suffer.  No one wants to return to near $4.00/gallon prices, but again, dirt cheap isn't good either. 4951
