We've done Randall's deli in the past (not bad) but would really like a good, traditional fish n' chips meal. Suggestions, please? 4951

I do know that Culvers has fresh Atlantic cod that's pretty good. And for all you Yankees ( @Yankeejesica) Culvers also has Walleye during Lent!!! I LOVE Walleye- it was one of 2 things ( skyline being the other) I miss about Ohio 4951

You heathens, St. Martha's Knights of Columbus members have been having a Fish Fry during Lent for a gazzillion years.Every Friday.  Check out St. Martha's website for times and pricesEmoticon

@Fallon:

Snort!! I knew that they did, but we've never tried them and sometimes Church Fish Frys are pricey for not a lot of food. So I was looking for personal recommendation! Emoticon 4951

I don't even like fish that much I'm more into steak and potatoes, but ohhhh my cod! The fried fish at The fish place is sooooo good! I only tried it because my dad ordered some to-go and I wanted to eat all of it lol. The onion rings are good too. 4951

Does it have to be at a church? I'm not familiar with any of the lent rules to be honest. I'm willing to learn though. 4951

@GNCmanager: Oh no, not at all! It's just that Fish Frys are the biggest fundraisers for the Church and School for the year!

Missing Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips, and the good hush puppies! Good ones don't have peppers in them. A little malt vinegar to go with, it was all yummy. All the locations in Michigan closed, haven't had it in years. 4951

My friend really likes Sharky's fish and chips.  I have not tried theirs.  If you are in town, The Black Lab near Montrose has great fish and chips.   4951

@Weathergirl5: I always thought theirs were so-so. But I might be partial since having the best in Scotland.
Also some places in Dubai were pretty awesome.Odd I never had any in England.Growing up my english grandmother always liked Arthur Treacher's. They were pretty good overall, but have not had them in decades.Had some pretty good ones made with walleye in Minnesota also. 4951
