Funny but she really likes to clean silver and has been asking me to bring her over to clean ours. I finally gave in and set her up at the kitchen table. My DW and I have the usual stuff you get when you first get married but I inherited some really nice pieces that my grandparents brought back from China about 90 years ago. I don't think silver is as common in homes like it used to be. My parents had a huge collection that got split up after they died. They had all kind of serving pieces, candlesticks, bowls and platters. So she worked for about 2 hours, she doesn't have the upper arm strength to really rub the polish and buff off the layers of tarnish so she would have a go at a piece and then I would work on it. She said we should do it once a month. I told her after Costco opens she can come clean silver and I'll buy her a hotdog for lunch. 4951
I feel bad i put my moms silver in the dishwasher back in college. Â totally ruined it. Â I was not mature enough to be given proper silverware in my early twenties. Â 4951
