To make it even better, substitute pack of iced cinnamon buns ( with raisins if you can it). Chop buns just like you would Italian bread. Delicious! 4951

@WJo:  That sounds sooooooo good.  bread Pudding is one of my favorite desserts.  My grandmother and mom used to make hard sauce for it.  MMMMM....  warm bread pudding with hard sauce melting over it.  I used to pick out the raisins.

@foxymama: If made right, there shouldn't be any bread text left on the inside, should be like custard. Top has a crunchy bread texture.

This made me think of my mom's peach cobbler recipe. The crust was doughy and more like a bread pudding than a pie/cobbler crust. I think she may have used Bisquick and peach juice in the crust. But no one in the family has it written down. Most of her recipes were learned from her grandmother, who was born in 1900. Does anyone have a peach cobbler recipe like this one? 4951

That's why I eat the one that you use cinnamon rolls for instead of bread. 4951

@sweetie: Doughnuts are great to use, too. A lady at our office used to make it from a recipe that used Krispy Kreme doughnuts.... except she just used any old local doughnuts!!  Emoticon

@klp1972: Paula Deen was the originator of the recipe I believe. (that was before she was reformed, lol)
