I kick it for other reasons. The money it cost to run the stupid SOB. Is it still a dollar a cup to run? My last experience with it at work was it made a weak 12 oz coffee at best. 4951

Little black mold and mildew is good for you, builds immunity.

Interesting read, though.....

I get a headache when I drink Keurig coffee. It took me a long time to figure it out. My in-laws have one, and I would get a headache almost every time we visited them... To me, the coffee tastes like plastic. 4951

If you do a little looking all the ground foods have a trace of nastiness. Insects eat the stuff and since there's no restroom. A insect has to do what a insect does. 4951

Thanks, interesting article. Many conveniences come with hidden dangers. I try to think ahead when buying things.

I don't drink that kind of coffee. I find it too rich or thick. I also believe it's a taste thing cause I feel the same way about Starbucks. Makes my guts churn.
I rinse my machine daily and also leave it open washing the rest with hot soapy water.

As for the non recyclables, that's just not eco-friendly in this day and age. I've always been one to say, leave nary a footprint nor fingerprints. 4951

i hate weak coffee! go for the bold ones. one of the best is Dark Magic from Green Mountain, Tall, Dark and Handsome from Joe, Green Mountain Sumatra,  and im sure others but thats a really subjective thing. you can also brew different sizes of coffe too to make it stronger, brew a smaller cup. its more expensive tho. Better off to get some bold coffee.i never pay a dollar a cup, thats getting too pricey for me. i buy it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. they sell it for like $25.00 for 36 and use the 20% off coupon and its like $19.00 so .50c a cup for one of the best bold brews. also Home Goods has the 12-18 cups for $5.99-7.99 so you can get it for .50c buying there as well. Grocery stores are the most expensive usually unless they have a good deal going but usually they are the  most. Emoticoni enjoy coffee too much to not buy it so thats not an option!  4951

I always felt mine was never clean enough either.  I would go months without using it and one day it clogged up and died.  I like my simple regular drip coffee maker.  EAsy to keep clean and you can completely drain it and not use it for months and it still be clean and ready to go.   4951

I clean my Keurig regularly and never taste a moldy taste. Let's face it, if we are this worried about a cup of coffee a day from a Keurig, then we just need to stay at home.

Everywhere we eat or drink there is bacteria; the soft drink machines at the fast food restaurants that everyone uses, coffee machines at the office or restaurant, even the people who prepare your food.

Even the water at your house. How old are the pipes? Could there be mold, rust or bacteria in them? How do you clean them? Even a water filter doesn't filter everything bad out.

I'm tired from thinking about all this. I think I'll have another cup of coffee from my Keurig. 4951

To each their own with the Keurig. I'm definitely not into the popular sugary starbucks drinks I like their cold brew. It's not something that makes you say yum that's for sure. I ordered the trenta size last time 😨😨😨 4951
