Hi All,We are new to the area and looking for an inexpensive lumber yard, so I can build a couple of planter boxes. Would anyone know of a good one? Thank you.-Helldozer 4951

@Helldozer:
I get my wood between Lowes and Home Depot. I check prices to see who is best for what I need. Lowes in Atascocita is cheaper a lot of times. Alspaugh's carries lumber but you pay a little more for convenience. If you need a lot it is worth the drive to McCoys. 4951

Hi Kerry, I'm going to build a raised garden bed and I'm looking for untreated cedar. Do you have cedar, if so, how much? Thank you.Rick 4951

As older treated lumber was treated with cyanide, probably best not to re-use it in interior applications. Lowes or Home Depot would be my recommendation. Unless you need hardwood. Then Houston Hardwoods 34th & Antoine, or Clark's in the Heights.Dan the Handyman 4951
