There are places that are higher like in Dunwoody and Decatur but we don't want to live there. And yes we will rent for at least a year for sure.
@foxymama: In 1967 we moved from Long Island to Dunwoody, well actually Dunwoody North. Coming from New York it felt like the Beverly Hillbillies in reverse. Very southern and small townlike then. I sold my parents home in 2010 after they died. They bought it for $36K in '67 and it ended up selling for $350K, an almost 10 fold increase. Be nice if you can find a nice neigborhood not too far from the airport if he flies a lot. The airport is on the south side and traffic is really horrible. But they do have a good subway/train service so you could live elsewhere if he is willing to take MARTA to the airport.
