Any suggestions on a place out here that has good crab cakes? Back in the day Carrabba's had them and they were pretty good but they no longer have them. I like crab cakes with lots of crab in them. For some reason I have been really wanting crab cakes. Almost bought some at HEB in the seafood dept the other day. Anyone tried those? Are they any good? 4951
Pappas has fantabulous crab cakes......but then again, I haven't been there in a long while.....they were pricey too.....and they came with yummy thin spiral sliced onions on the top....yummo I sure do want some now...... 4951
I like to make my own, that way I can have as much crab meat in them as I want. There are lots of recipes out there and they are pretty easy to make. 4951
Thanks for the input. Â Maybe I should try to make my own. Â I tried to make salmon cakes one time and they were not the best so I kind of shied away from making crab cakes. Â But maybe it was the recipe I used. Â 4951
@Weathergirl5: Not really a fan of anything crab, but when you mix it with something, it just turns really nasty. Snow Crabs I can eat, but I would rather have mudbugs 4951
We recently had crab cakes at Saltgrass in Humble. They were very good. The best I've had is at Laurenzo's in Houston. Great steaks at Laurenzo's too! 4951
